				 Ph.D. degree candidates are required to register for a minimum of 18 credits of E&C-Eng 899 (Doctoral Dissertation) and a minimum of twelve credits (four courses) from the student’s chosen core area. Information on requirements for the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering is available on the departmental website at www.ecs.umass.edu/ece. Specific requirements for the Preliminary Comprehensive Exam are also available. A master’s degree in a field closely related to Electrical and Computer Engineering is generally required for admission to the Ph.D. program. |
